About Zona Bet
Zona Bet is an independent, non-commercial information site about gambling addiction. It exists to put verified, practical information in one place: how gambling addiction works, how to stop, which self-exclusion schemes and blocking tools exist in each country, where treatment is free, and which helpline to call.
Funding and independence
The site is run privately and takes no money from gambling operators, affiliates or advertisers. There are no ads, no affiliate links and no sponsored content. Links to commercial products (blocking software, banks, app stores) are marked nofollow and are included only because they are useful.
How pages are checked
- Every helpline number, self-exclusion scheme, law and statistic is checked against a primary source — the regulator, the helpline organisation, the government or a peer-reviewed journal — and that source is listed at the bottom of the page.
- Pages show the date they were last reviewed. Currently 28 guides, 50 country pages and a helpline directory covering 50 countries.
- Where information could not be verified it was left out rather than guessed. If a country has no national self-exclusion register or no gambling-specific helpline, the page says so.
What this site is not
It is not medical, legal or financial advice, and it is not a treatment service. It points to services that are. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number.
Corrections
Numbers and rules change. If something on a page is out of date, email support@zona-bet.com with the page address and the correct source.
Companion app (waitlist)
A small free app is in development around the same idea: a place to go the moment an urge hits, with one-tap blocks and a simple budget log. It is invite-only while it is tested. Leave an email to be told when it is ready; nothing else is sent.
See the privacy policy for how the address is stored.
